(76) Surat Al-Insan سُورَة الإنسَان |

76:1 | هَل أَتَى عَلَى الإِنسَانِ حِين ٌ مِنَ الدَّهرِ لَم يَكُنشَيئا ً مَذكُورا ً Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned?
Hal 'Atá `Alá Al-'Insani Ĥinun Mina Ad-Dahri Lam Yakun Shay'aan Madhkūraan | ||
76:2 | إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ مِننُطْفَةٍ أَمشَاج ٍ نَبْتَلِيه ِِ فَجَعَلنَاه ُُ سَمِيعا ً بَصِيرا ً Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer.
'Inna Khalaqna Al-'Insana Min Nuţfatin 'Amshajin Nabtalihi Faja`alnahu Sami`aan Başiraan | ||
76:3 | إِنَّا هَدَينَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرا ً وَإِمَّا كَفُورا ً Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.
'Inna Hadaynahu As-Sabila 'Imma Shakiraan Wa 'Imma Kafūraan | ||
76:4 | إِنَّا أَعتَدْنَا لِلكَافِرِينَ سَلاَسِلا ً وَأَغلاَلا ً وَسَعِيرا ً Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire.
'Inna 'A`tadna Lilkafirina Salasilaan Wa 'Aghlalaan Wa Sa`iraan | ||
76:5 | إِنَّ الأَبْرَارَ يَشرَبُونَ مِنكَأْس ٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورا ً Verily, the Abrar (pious, who fear Allah and avoid evil), shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur.
'Inna Al-'Abrara Yashrabūna Min Ka'sin Kana Mizajuha Kafūraan | ||
76:6 | عَينا ً يَشرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفجِيرا ً A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly.
`Aynaan Yashrabu Biha `Ibadu Allahi Yufajjirūnaha Tafjiraan | ||
76:7 | يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوما ً كَانَ شَرُّه ُُ مُستَطِيرا ً They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading.
Yūfūna Bin-Nadhri Wa Yakhafūna Yawmaan Kana Sharruhu Mustaţiraan | ||
76:8 | وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى حُبِّه ِِ مِسكِينا ً وَيَتِيما ً وَأَسِيرا ً And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive,
Wa Yuţ`imūna Aţ-Ţa`ama `Alá Ĥubbihi Miskinaan Wa Yatimaan Wa 'Asiraan | ||
76:9 | إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُم لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لاَ نُرِيدُ مِنْكُم جَزَاء ً وَلاَ شُكُورا ً (Saying): "We feed you seeking Allah's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you.
'Innama Nuţ`imukum Liwajhi Allahi La Nuridu Minkum Jaza'an Wa La Shukūraan | ||
76:10 | إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنرَبِّنَا يَوماً عَبُوسا ً قَمطَرِيرا ً "Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislikeness to it)."
'Inna Nakhafu Min Rabbina Yawmaan `Abūsaan Qamţariraan | ||
76:11 | فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَلِكَ اليَومِ وَلَقَّاهُم نَضرَة ً وَسُرُورا ً So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy.
Fawaqahumu Allahu Sharra Dhalika Al-Yawmi Wa Laqqahum Nađratan Wa Surūraan | ||
76:12 | وَجَزَاهُمبِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّة ً وَحَرِيرا ً And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient.
Wa Jazahum Bima Şabarū Jannatan Wa Ĥariraan | ||
76:13 | مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ لاَ يَرَونَ فِيهَا شَمسا ً وَلاَ زَمهَرِيرا ً Reclining therein on raised thrones, they will see there neither the excessive heat of the sun, nor the excessive bitter cold, (as in Paradise there is no sun and no moon).
Muttaki'ina Fiha `Alá Al-'Ara'iki La Yarawna Fiha Shamsaan Wa La Zamhariraan | ||
76:14 | وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيهِم ظِلاَلُهَا وَذُلِّلَت قُطُوفُهَا تَذلِيلا ً And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruit thereof will hang low within their reach.
Wa Daniyatan `Alayhim Žilaluha Wa Dhullilat Quţūfuha Tadhlilaan | ||
76:15 | وَيُطَافُ عَلَيهِمبِآنِيَة ٍ مِنفِضَّة ٍ وَأَكوَاب ٍ كَانَت قَوَارِيرَ And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and cups of crystal,
Wa Yuţafu `Alayhim Bi'aniyatin Min Fiđđatin Wa 'Akwabin Kanat Qawarira | ||
76:16 | قَوَارِيرَ مِنفِضَّة ٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرا ً Crystal-clear, made of silver. They will determine the measure thereof according to their wishes.
Qawarira Min Fiđđatin Qaddarūha Taqdiraan | ||
76:17 | وَيُسقَونَ فِيهَا كَأْسا ً كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلا ً And they will be given to drink there a cup (of wine) mixed with Zanjabil (ginger, etc.),
Wa Yusqawna Fiha Ka'saan Kana Mizajuha Zanjabilaan | ||
76:18 | عَينا ً فِيهَا تُسَمَّى سَلسَبِيلا ً A spring there, called Salsabil.
`Aynaan Fiha Tusammá Salsabilaan | ||
76:19 | وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيهِم وِلدَان ٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيتَهُم حَسِبْتَهُم لُؤلُؤا ً مَنثُورا ً And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls.
Wa Yaţūfu `Alayhim Wildanun Mukhalladūna 'Idha Ra'aytahum Ĥasibtahum Lu'ulu'uaan Manthūraan | ||
76:20 | وَإِذَا رَأَيتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيتَ نَعِيما ً وَمُلكا ً كَبِيرا ً And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion.
Wa 'Idha Ra'ayta Thamma Ra'ayta Na`imaan Wa Mulkaan Kabiraan | ||
76:21 | عَالِيَهُم ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضر ٌ وَإِستَبْرَق ٌ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِنفِضَّة ٍ وَسَقَاهُم رَبُّهُم شَرَابا ً طَهُورا ً Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink.
`Āliyahum Thiyabu Sundusin Khuđrun Wa 'Istabraqun Wa Ĥullū 'Asawira Min Fiđđatin Wa Saqahum Rabbuhum Sharabaan Ţahūraan | ||
76:22 | إِنَّ هَذَا كَانَ لَكُم جَزَاء ً وَكَانَ سَعيُكُممَشكُورا ً (And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted."
'Inna Hadha Kana Lakum Jaza'an Wa Kana Sa`yukum Mashkūraan | ||
76:23 | إِنَّا نَحنُ نَزَّلنَا عَلَيكَ القُرآنَ تَنْزِيلا ً Verily! It is We Who have sent down the Qur'an to you (O Muhammad SAW) by stages.
'Inna Naĥnu Nazzalna `Alayka Al-Qur'ana Tanzilaan | ||
76:24 | فَاصبِر لِحُكمِ رَبِّكَ وَلاَ تُطِع مِنهُم آثِماً أَو كَفُورا ً Therefore be patient (O Muhammad SAW) and submit to the Command of your Lord (Allah, by doing your duty to Him and by conveying His Message to mankind), and obey neither a sinner nor a disbeliever among them.
Faşbir Liĥukmi Rabbika Wa La Tuţi` Minhum 'Āthimaan 'Aw Kafūraan | ||
76:25 | وَاذكُر اسمَ رَبِّكَ بُكرَة ً وَأَصِيلا ً And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers].
Wa Adhkur Asma Rabbika Bukratan Wa 'Aşilaan | ||
76:26 | وَمِنَ اللَّيلِ فَاسجُدلَه ُُ وَسَبِّحهُ لَيلا ً طَوِيلا ً And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer).
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fasjud Lahu Wa Sabbiĥhu Laylaan Ţawilaan | ||
76:27 | إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء يُحِبُّونَ العَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُم يَوما ً ثَقِيلا ً Verily! These (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard).
'Inna Ha'uula' Yuĥibbūna Al-`Ājilata Wa Yadharūna Wara'ahum Yawmaan Thaqilaan | ||
76:28 | نَحنُ خَلَقْنَاهُم وَشَدَدْنَا أَسرَهُم وَإِذَا شِئنَا بَدَّلنَا أَمثَالَهُم تَبْدِيلا ً It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement.
Naĥnu Khalaqnahum Wa Shadadna 'Asrahum Wa 'Idha Shi'na Baddalna 'Amthalahum Tabdilaan | ||
76:29 | إِنَّ هَذِه ِِ تَذكِرَة ٌ فَمَنشَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّه ِِ سَبِيلا ً Verily! This (Verses of the Qur'an) is an admonition, so whosoever wills, let him take a Path to his Lord (Allah).
'Inna Hadhihi Tadhkiratun Faman Sha'a Attakhadha 'Ilá Rabbihi Sabilaan | ||
76:30 | وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلاَّ أَنيَشَاءَ اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيماً حَكِيما ً But you cannot will, unless Allah wills. Verily, Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.
Wa Ma Tasha'ūna 'Illa 'An Yasha'a Allahu 'Inna Allaha Kana `Alimaan Ĥakimaan | ||
76:31 | يُدْخِلُ مَنيَشَاءُ فِي رَحمَتِه ِِ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُم عَذَاباً أَلِيما ً He will admit to His Mercy whom He will and as for the Zalimun, (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) He has prepared a painful torment.
Yudkhilu Man Yasha'u Fi Raĥmatihi Wa Až-Žalimina 'A`adda Lahum `Adhabaan 'Alimaan |
