26:1 | طَا-سِين-مِيم TaSinMim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] Ţa-Sin-Mim |
26:2 | تِلكَ آيَاتُ الكِتَابِ المُبِينِ These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Qur'an, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. Tilka 'Āyatu Al-Kitabi Al-Mubini |
26:3 | لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِع ٌ نَفسَكَ أَلاَّ يَكُونُوا مُؤمِنِينَ It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]. La`allaka Bakhi`un Nafsaka 'Alla Yakūnū Mu'uminina |
26:4 | إِننَشَأنُنَزِّل عَلَيهِممِنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَة ً فَظَلَّت أَعنَاقُهُم لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 'In Nasha' Nunazzil `Alayhim Mina As-Sama'i 'Āyatan Fažallat 'A`naquhum Laha Khađi`ina |
26:5 | وَمَا يَأْتِيهِممِنذِكر ٍ مِنَ الرَّحمَنِ مُحدَث ٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا عَنهُ مُعرِضِينَ And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allah), but they turn away therefrom. Wa Ma Ya'tihim Min Dhikrin Mina Ar-Raĥmani Muĥdathin 'Illa Kanū `Anhu Mu`riđina |
26:6 | فَقَدكَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِم أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يَستَهزِئُون So they have indeed denied (the truth this Qur'an), then the news of what they mocked at, will come to them. Faqad Kadhdhabū Fasaya'tihim 'Anba'u Ma Kanū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn |
26:7 | أَوَلَم يَرَوا إِلَى الأَرضِ كَم أَنْبَتنَا فِيهَا مِنكُلِّ زَوج ٍ كَرِيم ٍ Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 'Awalam Yaraw 'Ilá Al-'Arđi Kam 'Anbatna Fiha Min Kulli Zawjin Karimin |
26:8 | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:9 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:10 | وَإِذ نَادَى رَبُّكَ مُوسَى أَنِ ائتِ القَومَ الظَّالِمِينَ And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), Wa 'Idh Nadá Rabbuka Mūsá 'Ani A'ti Al-Qawma Až-Žalimina |
26:11 | قَومَ فِرعَونَ أَلاَ يَتَّقُونَ The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" Qawma Fir`awna 'Ala Yattaqūna |
26:12 | قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنيُكَذِّبُونِ He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, Qala Rabbi 'Inni 'Akhafu 'An Yukadhdhibūni |
26:13 | وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلاَ يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرسِل إِلَى هَارُونَ "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). Wa Yađiqu Şadri Wa La Yanţaliqu Lisani Fa'arsil 'Ilá Harūna |
26:14 | وَلَهُم عَلَيَّ ذَنْب ٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنيَقْتُلُونِ "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." Wa Lahum `Alayya Dhanbun Fa'akhafu 'An Yaqtulūni |
26:15 | قَالَ كَلاَّ فَاذهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّا مَعَكُممُستَمِعُونَ Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. Qala Kalla Fadh/haba Bi'ayatina 'Inna Ma`akum Mustami`ūna |
26:16 | فَأْتِيَا فِرعَونَ فَقُولاَ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ العَالَمِينَ "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), Fa'tiya Fir`awna Faqūla 'Inna Rasūlu Rabbi Al-`Ālamina |
26:17 | أَن أَرسِل مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسرَائِيلَ "So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " 'An 'Arsil Ma`ana Bani 'Isra'ila |
26:18 | قَالَ أَلَم نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدا ً وَلَبِثتَ فِينَا مِن عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. Qala 'Alam Nurabbika Fina Walidaan Wa Labithta Fina Min `Umurika Sinina |
26:19 | وَفَعَلتَ فَعلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلتَ وَأَنْتَ مِنَ الكَافِرِينَ "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." Wa Fa`alta Fa`lataka Allati Fa`alta Wa 'Anta Mina Al-Kafirina |
26:20 | قَالَ فَعَلتُهَا إِذا ً وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّين Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). Qala Fa`altuha 'Idhaan Wa 'Ana Mina Ađ-Đallin |
26:21 | فَفَرَرتُ مِنْكُم لَمَّا خِفتُكُم فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكما ً وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ المُرسَلِينَ "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. Fafarartu Minkum Lamma Khiftukum Fawahaba Li Rabbi Ĥukmaan Wa Ja`alani Mina Al-Mursalina |
26:22 | وَتِلكَ نِعمَة ٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَن عَبَّدْتَ بَنِي إِسرَائِيلَ "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." Wa Tilka Ni`matun Tamunnuha `Alayya 'An `Abbadta Bani 'Isra'ila |
26:23 | قَالَ فِرعَونُ وَمَا رَبُّ العَالَمِينَ Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" Qala Fir`awnu Wa Ma Rabbu Al-`Ālamina |
26:24 | قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرضِ وَمَا بَينَهُمَا إنكُنتُممُوقِنِينَ Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." Qala Rabbu As-Samawati Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Ma Baynahuma 'In Kuntum Mūqinina |
26:25 | قَالَ لِمَن حَولَهُ~ُ أَلاَ تَستَمِعُونَ Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" Qala Liman Ĥawlahu 'Ala Tastami`ūna |
26:26 | قَالَ رَبُّكُم وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الأَوَّلِينَ Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" Qala Rabbukum Wa Rabbu 'Āba'ikumu Al-'Awwalina |
26:27 | قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرسِلَ إِلَيكُم لَمَجْنُون ٌ Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" Qala 'Inna Rasūlakumu Al-Ladhi 'Ursila 'Ilaykum Lamajnūnun |
26:28 | قَالَ رَبُّ المَشرِقِ وَالمَغرِبِ وَمَا بَينَهُمَا إِنكُنْتُم تَعقِلُونَ Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" Qala Rabbu Al-Mashriqi Wa Al-Maghribi Wa Ma Baynahuma 'In Kuntum Ta`qilūna |
26:29 | قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذتَ إِلَهَاً غَيرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ المَسجُونِينَ Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." Qala La'ini Attakhadhta 'Ilahaan Ghayri La'aj`alannaka Mina Al-Masjūnina |
26:30 | قَالَ أَوَلَو جِئتُكَ بِشَيء ٍ مُبِين ٍ Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" Qala 'Awalaw Ji'tuka Bishay'in Mubinin |
26:31 | قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ~ِ إِنكُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" Qala Fa'ti Bihi 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şadiqina |
26:32 | فَأَلقَى عَصَاه ُُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعبَان ٌ مُبِين ٌ So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. Fa'alqá `Aşahu Fa'idha Hiya Thu`banun Mubinun |
26:33 | وَنَزَعَ يَدَه ُُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! Wa Naza`a Yadahu Fa'idha Hiya Bayđa'u Lilnnažirina |
26:34 | قَالَ لِلمَلَإِ حَولَهُ~ُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيم ٌ [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said to the chiefs around him: "Verily! This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer. Qala Lilmala'i Ĥawlahu 'Inna Hadha Lasaĥirun `Alimun |
26:35 | يُرِيدُ أَنيُخرِجَكُممِن أَرضِكُمبِسِحرِه ِِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ "He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery, then what is it your counsel, and what do you command?" Yuridu 'An Yukhrijakum Min 'Arđikum Bisiĥrihi Famadha Ta'murūna |
26:36 | قَالُوا أَرجِه ِِ وَأَخَاه ُُ وَابْعَث فِي المَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ They said: "Put him off and his brother (for a while), and send callers to the cities; Qalū 'Arjihi Wa 'Akhahu Wa Ab`ath Fi Al-Mada'ini Ĥashirina |
26:37 | يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيم ٍ "To bring up to you every well-versed sorcerer." Ya'tūka Bikulli Saĥĥarin `Alimin |
26:38 | فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَاتِ يَوم ٍ مَعلُوم ٍ So the sorcerers were assembled at a fixed time on a day appointed. Fajumi`a As-Saĥaratu Limiqati Yawmin Ma`lūmin |
26:39 | وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَل أَنْتُممُجْتَمِعُونَ And it was said to the people: "Are you (too) going to assemble? Wa Qila Lilnnasi Hal 'Antum Mujtami`ūna |
26:40 | لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِنكَانُوا هُمُ الغَالِبِينَ "That we may follow the sorcerers [who were on Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) religion of disbelief] if they are the winners." La`allana Nattabi`u As-Saĥarata 'In Kanū Humu Al-Ghalibina |
26:41 | فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرعَونَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرا ً إِنكُنَّا نَحنُ الغَالِبِينَ So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Fir'aun (Pharaoh): "Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?" Falamma Ja'a As-Saĥaratu Qalū Lifir`awna 'A'inna Lana La'ajraan 'In Kunna Naĥnu Al-Ghalibina |
26:42 | قَالَ نَعَم وَإِنَّكُم إِذا ً لَمِنَ المُقَرَّبِينَ He said: "Yes, and you shall then verily be of those brought near (to myself)." Qala Na`am Wa 'Innakum 'Idhaan Lamina Al-Muqarrabina |
26:43 | قَالَ لَهُممُوسَى أَلقُوا مَا أَنْتُممُلقُونَ Musa (Moses) said to them: "Throw what you are going to throw!" Qala Lahum Mūsá 'Alqū Ma 'Antum Mulqūna |
26:44 | فَأَلقَوا حِبَالَهُم وَعِصِيَّهُم وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرعَونَ إِنَّا لَنَحنُ الغَالِبُونَ So they threw their ropes and their sticks, and said: "By the might of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), it is we who will certainly win!" Fa'alqaw Ĥibalahum Wa `Işiyahum Wa Qalū Bi`izzati Fir`awna 'Inna Lanaĥnu Al-Ghalibūna |
26:45 | فَأَلقَى مُوسَى عَصَاه ُُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ Then Musa (Moses) threw his stick, and behold, it swallowed up all the falsehoods which they showed! Fa'alqá Mūsá `Aşahu Fa'idha Hiya Talqafu Ma Ya'fikūna |
26:46 | فَأُلقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ And the sorcerers fell down prostrate. Fa'ulqiya As-Saĥaratu Sajidina |
26:47 | قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ العَالَمِينَ Saying: "We believe in the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). Qalū 'Āmanna Birabbi Al-`Ālamina |
26:48 | رَبِّ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ "The Lord of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)." Rabbi Mūsá Wa Harūna |
26:49 | قَالَ آمَنْتُم لَه ُُ قَبْلَ أَنآذَنَ لَكُم إِنَّه ُُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحرَ فَلَسَوفَ تَعلَمُونَ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيدِيَكُم وَأَرجُلَكُممِن خِلاَف ٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُم أَجْمَعِينَ [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "You have believed in him before I give you leave. Surely, he indeed is your chief, who has taught you magic! So verily, you shall come to know. Verily, I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all." Qala 'Āmantum Lahu Qabla 'An 'Ādhana Lakum 'Innahu Lakabirukumu Al-Ladhi `Allamakumu As-Siĥra Falasawfa Ta`lamūna La'uqaţţi`anna 'Aydiyakum Wa 'Arjulakum Min Khilafin Wa La'uşallibannakum 'Ajma`ina |
26:50 | قَالُوا لاَ ضَيرَ إِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ They said: "No harm! Surely, to our Lord (Allah) we are to return; Qalū La Đayra 'Inna 'Ilá Rabbina Munqalibūna |
26:51 | إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنيَغفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنكُنَّا أَوَّلَ المُؤمِنِينَ "Verily! We really hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers [in Musa (Moses) and in the Monotheism which he has brought from Allah]." 'Inna Naţma`u 'An Yaghfira Lana Rabbuna Khaţayana 'An Kunna 'Awwala Al-Mu'uminina |
26:52 | وَأَوحَينَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَن أَسرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّكُممُتَّبَعُونَ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." Wa 'Awĥayna 'Ilá Mūsá 'An 'Asri Bi`ibadi 'Innakum Muttaba`ūna |
26:53 | فَأَرسَلَ فِرعَونُ فِي المَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. Fa'arsala Fir`awnu Fi Al-Mada'ini Ĥashirina |
26:54 | إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء لَشِرذِمَة ٌ قَلِيلُونَ (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 'Inna Ha'uula' Lashirdhimatun Qalilūna |
26:55 | وَإِنَّهُم لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; Wa 'Innahum Lana Lagha'ižūna |
26:56 | وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ "But we are host all assembled, amply fore-warned." Wa 'Inna Lajami`un Ĥadhirūna |
26:57 | فَأَخرَجْنَاهُممِنجَنَّات ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, Fa'akhrajnahum Min Jannatin Wa `Uyūnin |
26:58 | وَكُنُوز ٍ وَمَقَام ٍ كَرِيم ٍ Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. Wa Kunūzin Wa Maqamin Karimin |
26:59 | كَذَلِكَ وَأَورَثنَاهَا بَنِي إِسرَائِيلَ Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. Kadhalika Wa 'Awrathnaha Bani 'Isra'ila |
26:60 | فَأَتبَعُوهُممُشرِقِينَ So they pursued them at sunrise. Fa'atba`ūhum Mushriqina |
26:61 | فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الجَمعَانِ قَالَ أَصحَابُ مُوسَى إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." Falamma Tara'á Al-Jam`ani Qala 'Aşĥabu Mūsá 'Inna Lamudrakūna |
26:62 | قَالَ كَلاَّ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهدِينِ [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." Qala Kalla 'Inna Ma`iya Rabbi Sayahdini |
26:63 | فَأَوحَينَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَنِ اضرِببِعَصَاكَ البَحرَ فَانفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرق ٍ كَالطَّودِ العَظِيمِ Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. Fa'awĥayna 'Ilá Mūsá 'Ani Ađrib Bi`aşaka Al-Baĥra Fanfalaqa Fakana Kullu Firqin Kalţţawdi Al-`Ažimi |
26:64 | وَأَزلَفنَا ثَمَّ الآخَرِينَ Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. Wa 'Azlafna Thamma Al-'Ākharina |
26:65 | وَأَنْجَينَا مُوسَى وَمَنمَعَهُ~ُ أَجْمَعِينَ And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. Wa 'Anjayna Mūsá Wa Man Ma`ahu 'Ajma`ina |
26:66 | ثُمَّ أَغرَقْنَا الآخَرِينَ Then We drowned the others. Thumma 'Aghraqna Al-'Ākharina |
26:67 | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:68 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:69 | وَاتلُ عَلَيهِم نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). Wa Atlu `Alayhim Naba'a 'Ibrahima |
26:70 | إِذ قَالَ لِأَبِيه ِِ وَقَومِه ِِ مَا تَعبُدُونَ When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 'Idh Qala Li'abihi Wa Qawmihi Ma Ta`budūna |
26:71 | قَالُوا نَعبُدُ أَصنَاما ً فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ They said: "We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted." Qalū Na`budu 'Aşnamaan Fanažallu Laha `Ākifina |
26:72 | قَالَ هَل يَسمَعُونَكُم إِذ تَدْعُونَ He said: "Do they hear you, when you call (on them)? Qala Hal Yasma`ūnakum 'Idh Tad`ūna |
26:73 | أَو يَنْفَعُونَكُم أَو يَضُرُّونَ "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 'Aw Yanfa`ūnakum 'Aw Yađurrūna |
26:74 | قَالُوا بَل وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَلِكَ يَفعَلُونَ They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so." Qalū Bal Wajadna 'Āba'ana Kadhalika Yaf`alūna |
26:75 | قَالَ أَفَرَأَيتُممَا كُنْتُم تَعبُدُونَ He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, Qala 'Afara'aytum Ma Kuntum Ta`budūna |
26:76 | أَنْتُم وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الأَقْدَمُونَ "You and your ancient fathers? 'Antum Wa 'Āba'uukumu Al-'Aqdamūna |
26:77 | فَإِنَّهُم عَدُوّ ٌ لِي إِلاَّ رَبَّ العَالَمِينَ "Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); Fa'innahum `Adūwun Li 'Illa Rabba Al-`Ālamina |
26:78 | الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهدِينِ "Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; Al-Ladhi Khalaqani Fahuwa Yahdini |
26:79 | وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسقِينِ "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. Wa Al-Ladhi Huwa Yuţ`imuni Wa Yasqini |
26:80 | وَإِذَا مَرِضتُ فَهُوَ يَشفِينِ "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me; Wa 'Idha Mariđtu Fahuwa Yashfini |
26:81 | وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحيِينِ "And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again); Wa Al-Ladhi Yumituni Thumma Yuĥyini |
26:82 | وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنيَغفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَومَ الدِّينِ "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," Wa Al-Ladhi 'Aţma`u 'An Yaghfira Li Khaţi'ati Yawma Ad-Dini |
26:83 | رَبِّ هَبلِي حُكما ً وَأَلحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; Rabbi Hab Li Ĥukmaan Wa 'Alĥiqni Biş-Şaliĥina |
26:84 | وَاجْعَللِي لِسَانَ صِدْق ٍ فِي الآخِرِينَ And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; Wa Aj`al Li Lisana Şidqin Fi Al-'Ākhirina |
26:85 | وَاجْعَلنِي مِنوَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight; Wa Aj`alni Min Warathati Jannati An-Na`imi |
26:86 | وَاغفِر لِأَبِي إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ And forgive my father, verily he is of the erring; Wa Aghfir Li'abi 'Innahu Kana Mina Ađ-Đallina |
26:87 | وَلاَ تُخزِنِي يَومَ يُبْعَثُونَ And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; Wa La Tukhzini Yawma Yub`athūna |
26:88 | يَومَ لاَ يَنْفَعُ مَال ٌ وَلاَ بَنُونَ The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, Yawma La Yanfa`u Malun Wa La Banūna |
26:89 | إِلاَّ مَن أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلب ٍ سَلِيم ٍ Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 'Illa Man 'Atá Allaha Biqalbin Salimin |
26:90 | وَأُزلِفَتِ الجَنَّةُ لِلمُتَّقِينَ And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqun (pious - see V.2:2). Wa 'Uzlifati Al-Jannatu Lilmuttaqina |
26:91 | وَبُرِّزَتِ الجَحِيمُ لِلغَاوِينَ And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. Wa Burrizati Al-Jaĥimu Lilghawina |
26:92 | وَقِيلَ لَهُم أَينَ مَا كُنْتُم تَعبُدُونَ And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship Wa Qila Lahum 'Ayna Ma Kuntum Ta`budūna |
26:93 | مِندُونِ اللَّهِ هَل يَنْصُرُونَكُم أَو يَنْتَصِرُونَ "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" Min Dūni Allahi Hal Yanşurūnakum 'Aw Yantaşirūna |
26:94 | فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُم وَالغَاوُونَ Then they will be thrown on their faces into the (Fire), They and the Ghawun (devils, and those who were in error). Fakubkibū Fiha Hum Wa Al-Ghawūna |
26:95 | وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together. Wa Junūdu 'Iblisa 'Ajma`ūna |
26:96 | قَالُوا وَهُم فِيهَا يَختَصِمُونَ They will say while contending therein, Qalū Wa Hum Fiha Yakhtaşimūna |
26:97 | تَاللَّهِ إِنكُنَّا لَفِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error, Ta-Allahi 'In Kunna Lafi Đalalin Mubinin |
26:98 | إِذ نُسَوِّيكُمبِرَبِّ العَالَمِينَ When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 'Idh Nusawwikum Birabbi Al-`Ālamina |
26:99 | وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلاَّ المُجْرِمُونَ And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. Wa Ma 'Ađallana 'Illa Al-Mujrimūna |
26:100 | فَمَا لَنَا مِنشَافِعِينَ Now we have no intercessors, Fama Lana Min Shafi`ina |
26:101 | وَلاَ صَدِيقٍ حَمِيم ٍ Nor a close friend (to help us). Wa La Şadiqin Ĥamimin |
26:102 | فَلَو أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّة ً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ المُؤمِنِينَ (Alas!) If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we shall truly be among the believers! Falaw 'Anna Lana Karratan Fanakūna Mina Al-Mu'uminina |
26:103 | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:104 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:105 | كَذَّبَت قَومُ نُوح ٍ المُرسَلِينَ The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. Kadhdhabat Qawmu Nūĥin Al-Mursalina |
26:106 | إِذ قَالَ لَهُم أَخُوهُم نُوحٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 'Idh Qala Lahum 'Akhūhum Nūĥun 'Ala Tattaqūna |
26:107 | إِنِّي لَكُم رَسُولٌ أَمِين ٌ "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 'Inni Lakum Rasūlun 'Aminun |
26:108 | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. Fattaqū Allaha Wa 'Aţi`ūni |
26:109 | وَمَا أَسأَلُكُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجْر ٍ إِن أَجْرِي إِلاَّ عَلَى رَبِّ العَالَمِينَ "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). Wa Ma 'As'alukum `Alayhi Min 'Ajrin 'In 'Ajri 'Illa `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamina |
26:110 | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." Fattaqū Allaha Wa 'Aţi`ūni |
26:111 | قَالُوا أَنُؤمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الأَرذَلُونَ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" Qalū 'Anu'uminu Laka Wa Attaba`aka Al-'Ardhalūna |
26:112 | قَالَ وَمَا عِلمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعمَلُونَ He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? Qala Wa Ma `Ilmi Bima Kanū Ya`malūna |
26:113 | إِن حِسَابُهُم إِلاَّ عَلَى رَبِّي لَو تَشعُرُونَ "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 'In Ĥisabuhum 'Illa `Alá Rabbi Law Tash`urūna |
26:114 | وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ المُؤمِنِينَ "And I am not going to drive away the believers. Wa Ma 'Ana Biţaridi Al-Mu'uminina |
26:115 | إِن أَنَا إِلاَّ نَذِير ٌ مُبِين ٌ I am only a plain warner." 'In 'Ana 'Illa Nadhirun Mubinun |
26:116 | قَالُوا لَئِنلَم تَنْتَه ِِ يَانُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ المَرجُومِينَ They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." Qalū La'in Lam Tantahi Ya Nūĥu Latakūnanna Mina Al-Marjūmina |
26:117 | قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَومِي كَذَّبُونِ He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. Qala Rabbi 'Inna Qawmi Kadhdhabūni |
26:118 | فَافتَح بَينِي وَبَينَهُم فَتحا ً وَنَجِّنِي وَمَنمَعِي مِنَ المُؤمِنِينَ Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." Faftaĥ Bayni Wa Baynahum Fatĥaan Wa Najjini Wa Man Ma`i Mina Al-Mu'uminina |
26:119 | فَأَنجَينَاه ُُ وَمَنمَعَه ُُ فِي الفُلكِ المَشحُونِ And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. Fa'anjaynahu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fi Al-Fulki Al-Mashĥūni |
26:120 | ثُمَّ أَغرَقْنَا بَعدُ البَاقِينَ Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. Thumma 'Aghraqna Ba`du Al-Baqina |
26:121 | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:122 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:123 | كَذَّبَت عَاد ٌ المُرسَلِينَ 'Ad (people) belied the Messengers. Kadhdhabat `Ādun Al-Mursalina |
26:124 | إِذ قَالَ لَهُم أَخُوهُم هُودٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ When their brother Hud said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 'Idh Qala Lahum 'Akhūhum Hūdun 'Ala Tattaqūna |
26:125 | إِنِّي لَكُم رَسُولٌ أَمِين ٌ "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 'Inni Lakum Rasūlun 'Aminun |
26:126 | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. Fattaqū Allaha Wa 'Aţi`ūni |

26:128 | أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيع ٍ آيَة ً تَعبَثُونَ "Do you build high palaces on every high place, while you do not live in them? 'Atabnūna Bikulli Ri`in 'Āyatan Ta`bathūna |
26:129 | وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُم تَخلُدُونَ "And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. Wa Tattakhidhūna Maşani`a La`allakum Takhludūna |
26:130 | وَإِذَا بَطَشتُمبَطَشتُم جَبَّارِينَ "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? Wa 'Idha Baţashtum Baţashtum Jabbarina |
26:131 | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. Fattaqū Allaha Wa 'Aţi`ūni |
26:132 | وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمبِمَا تَعلَمُونَ "And keep your duty to Him, fear Him Who has aided you with all (good things) that you know. Wa Attaqū Al-Ladhi 'Amaddakum Bima Ta`lamūna |
26:133 | أَمَدَّكُمبِأَنعَام ٍ وَبَنِينَ "He has aided you with cattle and children. 'Amaddakum Bi'an`amin Wa Banina |
26:134 | وَجَنَّات ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ "And gardens and springs. Wa Jannatin Wa `Uyūnin |
26:135 | إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيكُم عَذَابَ يَومٍ عَظِيم ٍ "Verily, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day." 'Inni 'Akhafu `Alaykum `Adhaba Yawmin `Ažimin |
26:136 | قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَينَا أَوَعَظتَ أَم لَم تَكُنمِنَ الوَاعِظِينَ They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach. Qalū Sawa'un `Alayna 'Awa`ažta 'Am Lam Takun Mina Al-Wa`ižina |
26:137 | إِن هَذَا إِلاَّ خُلُقُ الأَوَّلِينَ "This is no other than the false-tales and religion of the ancients, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol.19, Page 97] 'In Hadha 'Illa Khuluqu Al-'Awwalina |
26:138 | وَمَا نَحنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ "And we are not going to be punished." Wa Ma Naĥnu Bimu`adhdhabina |
26:139 | فَكَذَّبُوه ُُ فَأَهلَكنَاهُم إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ So they belied him, and We destroyed them. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. Fakadhdhabūhu Fa'ahlaknahum 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:140 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:141 | كَذَّبَت ثَمُودُ المُرسَلِينَ Thamud (people) belied the Messenger. Kadhdhabat Thamūdu Al-Mursalina |
26:142 | إِذ قَالَ لَهُم أَخُوهُم صَالِحٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ When their brother Salih (Saleh) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 'Idh Qala Lahum 'Akhūhum Şaliĥun 'Ala Tattaqūna |
26:143 | إِنِّي لَكُم رَسُولٌ أَمِين ٌ "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 'Inni Lakum Rasūlun 'Aminun |

26:147 | فِي جَنَّات ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ "In gardens and springs. Fi Jannatin Wa `Uyūnin |
26:148 | وَزُرُوع ٍ وَنَخل ٍ طَلعُهَا هَضِيم ٌ And green crops (fields etc.) and date-palms with soft spadix. Wa Zurū`in Wa Nakhlin Ţal`uha Hađimun |
26:149 | وَتَنحِتُونَ مِنَ الجِبَالِ بُيُوتا ً فَارِهِينَ "And you carve houses out of mountains with great skill. Wa Tanĥitūna Mina Al-Jibali Buyūtaan Farihina |
26:150 | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. Fattaqū Allaha Wa 'Aţi`ūni |
26:151 | وَلاَ تُطِيعُوا أَمرَ المُسرِفِينَ "And follow not the command of Al-Musrifun [i.e. their chiefs, leaders who were polytheists, criminals and sinners], Wa La Tuţi`ū 'Amra Al-Musrifina |
26:152 | الَّذِينَ يُفسِدُونَ فِي الأَرضِ وَلاَ يُصلِحُونَ "Who make mischief in the land, and reform not." Al-Ladhina Yufsidūna Fi Al-'Arđi Wa La Yuşliĥūna |
26:153 | قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ المُسَحَّرِينَ They said: "You are only of those bewitched! Qalū 'Innama 'Anta Mina Al-Musaĥĥarina |
26:154 | مَا أَنْتَ إِلاَّ بَشَر ٌ مِثلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَة ٍ إِنكُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ "You are but a human being like us. Then bring us a sign if you are of the truthful." Ma 'Anta 'Illa Basharun Mithluna Fa'ti Bi'ayatin 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şadiqina |
26:155 | قَالَ هَذِه ِِ نَاقَة ٌ لَهَا شِرب ٌ وَلَكُم شِربُ يَوم ٍ مَعلُوم ٍ He said: "Here is a she-camel; it has a right to drink (water), and you have a right to drink (water) (each) on a day, known. Qala Hadhihi Naqatun Laha Shirbun Wa Lakum Shirbu Yawmin Ma`lūmin |
26:156 | وَلاَ تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوء ٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُم عَذَابُ يَومٍ عَظِيم ٍ "And touch her not with harm, lest the torment of a Great Day seize you." Wa La Tamassūha Bisū'in Faya'khudhakum `Adhabu Yawmin `Ažimin |
26:157 | فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ But they killed her, and then they became regretful. Fa`aqarūha Fa'aşbaĥū Nadimina |
26:158 | فَأَخَذَهُمُ العَذَابُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ So the torment overtook them. Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. Fa'akhadhahumu Al-`Adhabu 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:159 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:160 | كَذَّبَت قَومُ لُوط ٍ المُرسَلِينَ The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers Kadhdhabat Qawmu Lūţin Al-Mursalina |
26:161 | إِذ قَالَ لَهُم أَخُوهُم لُوطٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 'Idh Qala Lahum 'Akhūhum Lūţun 'Ala Tattaqūna |
26:162 | إِنِّي لَكُم رَسُولٌ أَمِين ٌ "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 'Inni Lakum Rasūlun 'Aminun |

26:166 | وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُم رَبُّكُممِن أَزوَاجِكُمبَل أَنْتُم قَومٌ عَادُونَ "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" Wa Tadharūna Ma Khalaqa Lakum Rabbukum Min 'Azwajikum Bal 'Antum Qawmun `Ādūna |
26:167 | قَالُوا لَئِنلَم تَنْتَه ِِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ المُخرَجِينَ They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" Qalū La'in Lam Tantahi Ya Lūţu Latakūnanna Mina Al-Mukhrajina |
26:168 | قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُممِنَ القَالِينَ He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). Qala 'Inni Li`amalikum Mina Al-Qalina |
26:169 | رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهلِي مِمَّا يَعمَلُونَ "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." Rabbi Najjini Wa 'Ahli Mimma Ya`malūna |
26:170 | فَنَجَّينَاه ُُ وَأَهلَهُ~ُ أَجْمَعِينَ So We saved him and his family, all, Fanajjaynahu Wa 'Ahlahu 'Ajma`ina |
26:171 | إِلاَّ عَجُوزا ً فِي الغَابِرِينَ Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 'Illa `Ajūzaan Fi Al-Ghabirina |
26:172 | ثُمَّ دَمَّرنَا الآخَرِينَ Then afterward We destroyed the others. Thumma Dammarna Al-'Ākharina |
26:173 | وَأَمطَرنَا عَلَيهِممَطَرا ً فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ المُنذَرِينَ And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. Wa 'Amţarna `Alayhim Maţaraan Fasa'a Maţaru Al-Mundharina |
26:174 | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:175 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:176 | كَذَّبَ أَصحَابُ الأَيكَةِ المُرسَلِينَ The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. Kadhdhaba 'Aşĥabu Al-'Aykati Al-Mursalina |
26:177 | إِذ قَالَ لَهُم شُعَيبٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 'Idh Qala Lahum Shu`aybun 'Ala Tattaqūna |
26:178 | إِنِّي لَكُم رَسُولٌ أَمِين ٌ "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 'Inni Lakum Rasūlun 'Aminun |
26:179 | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. Fattaqū Allaha Wa 'Aţi`ūni |
26:180 | وَمَا أَسأَلُكُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجْر ٍ إِن أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَبِّ العَالَمِينَ "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). Wa Ma 'As'alukum `Alayhi Min 'Ajrin 'In 'Ajriya 'Illa `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamina |
26:181 | أَوفُوا الكَيلَ وَلاَ تَكُونُوا مِنَ المُخسِرِينَ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 'Awfū Al-Kayla Wa La Takūnū Mina Al-Mukhsirina |
26:182 | وَزِنُوا بِالقِسطَاسِ المُستَقِيمِ "And weigh with the true and straight balance. Wa Zinū Bil-Qisţasi Al-Mustaqimi |
26:183 | وَلاَ تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشيَاءَهُم وَلاَ تَعثَوا فِي الأَرضِ مُفسِدِينَ "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. Wa La Tabkhasū An-Nasa 'Ashya'ahum Wa La Ta`thaw Fi Al-'Arđi Mufsidina |
26:184 | وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم وَالجِبِلَّةَ الأَوَّلِينَ "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." Wa Attaqū Al-Ladhi Khalaqakum Wa Al-Jibillata Al-'Awwalina |
26:185 | قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ المُسَحَّرِينَ They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! Qalū 'Innama 'Anta Mina Al-Musaĥĥarina |
26:186 | وَمَا أَنْتَ إِلاَّ بَشَر ٌ مِثلُنَا وَإِننَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الكَاذِبِينَ "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! Wa Ma 'Anta 'Illa Basharun Mithluna Wa 'In Nažunnuka Lamina Al-Kadhibina |
26:187 | فَأَسقِطعَلَينَا كِسَفا ً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِنكُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" Fa'asqiţ `Alayna Kisafaan Mina As-Sama'i 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şadiqina |
26:188 | قَالَ رَبِّي أَعلَمُ بِمَا تَعمَلُونَ He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." Qala Rabbi 'A`lamu Bima Ta`malūna |
26:189 | فَكَذَّبُوه ُُ فَأَخَذَهُم عَذَابُ يَومِ الظُّلَّةِ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَومٍ عَظِيم ٍ But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. Fakadhdhabūhu Fa'akhadhahum `Adhabu Yawmi Až-Žullati 'Innahu Kana `Adhaba Yawmin `Ažimin |
26:190 | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً وَمَا كَانَ أَكثَرُهُممُؤمِنِينَ Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 'Inna Fi Dhalika La'ayatan Wa Ma Kana 'Aktharuhum Mu'uminina |
26:191 | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azizu Ar-Raĥimu |
26:192 | وَإِنَّه ُُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ العَالَمِينَ And truly, this (the Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), Wa 'Innahu Latanzilu Rabbi Al-`Ālamina |
26:193 | نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الأَمِينُ Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; Nazala Bihi Ar-Rūĥu Al-'Aminu |
26:194 | عَلَى قَلبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ المُنذِرِينَ Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, `Alá Qalbika Litakūna Mina Al-Mundhirina |
26:195 | بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيّ ٍ مُبِين ٍ In the plain Arabic language. Bilisanin `Arabiyin Mubinin |
26:196 | وَإِنَّه ُُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الأَوَّلِينَ And verily, it (the Qur'an, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. Wa 'Innahu Lafi Zuburi Al-'Awwalina |
26:197 | أَوَلَم يَكُنلَهُم آيَةً أَنيَعلَمَه ُُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسرَائِيلَ Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 'Awalam Yakun Lahum 'Āyatan 'An Ya`lamahu `Ulama'u Bani 'Isra'ila |
26:198 | وَلَو نَزَّلنَاه ُُ عَلَى بَعضِ الأَعجَمِينَ And if We had revealed it (this Qur'an) unto any of the non-Arabs, Wa Law Nazzalnahu `Alá Ba`đi Al-'A`jamina |
26:199 | فَقَرَأَه ُُ عَلَيهِممَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ مُؤمِنِينَ And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. Faqara'ahu `Alayhim Ma Kanū Bihi Mu'uminina |
26:200 | كَذَلِكَ سَلَكنَاه ُُ فِي قُلُوبِ المُجْرِمِينَ Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Qur'an) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). Kadhalika Salaknahu Fi Qulūbi Al-Mujrimina |
26:201 | لاَ يُؤمِنُونَ بِه ِِ حَتَّى يَرَوا العَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; La Yu'uminūna Bihi Ĥattá Yaraw Al-`Adhaba Al-'Alima |
26:202 | فَيَأْتِيَهُمبَغتَة ً وَهُم لاَ يَشعُرُونَ It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; Faya'tiyahum Baghtatan Wa Hum La Yash`urūna |
26:203 | فَيَقُولُوا هَل نَحنُ مُنظَرُونَ Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" Fayaqūlū Hal Naĥnu Munžarūna |
26:204 | أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَستَعجِلُونَ Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 'Afabi`adhabina Yasta`jilūna |
26:205 | أَفَرَأَيتَ إِنمَتَّعنَاهُم سِنِينَ Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 'Afara'ayta 'In Matta`nahum Sinina |
26:206 | ثُمَّ جَاءَهُممَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! Thumma Ja'ahum Ma Kanū Yū`adūna |
26:207 | مَا أَغنَى عَنهُممَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. Ma 'Aghná `Anhum Ma Kanū Yumatta`ūna |
26:208 | وَمَا أَهلَكنَا مِنقَريَة ٍ إِلاَّ لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners Wa Ma 'Ahlakna Min Qaryatin 'Illa Laha Mundhirūna |
26:209 | ذِكرَى وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. Dhikrá Wa Ma Kunna Žalimina |
26:210 | وَمَا تَنَزَّلَت بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Qur'an) down, Wa Ma Tanazzalat Bihi Ash-Shayaţinu |
26:211 | وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُم وَمَا يَستَطِيعُونَ Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). Wa Ma Yanbaghi Lahum Wa Ma Yastaţi`ūna |
26:212 | إِنَّهُم عَنِ السَّمعِ لَمَعزُولُونَ Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 'Innahum `Ani As-Sam`i Lama`zūlūna |
26:213 | فَلاَ تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَها ً آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ المُعَذَّبِينَ So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. Fala Tad`u Ma`a Allahi 'Ilahaan 'Ākhara Fatakūna Mina Al-Mu`adhdhabina |
26:214 | وَأَنذِر عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. Wa 'Andhir `Ashirataka Al-'Aqrabina |
26:215 | وَاخفِض جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ المُؤمِنِينَ And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. Wa Akhfiđ Janaĥaka Limani Attaba`aka Mina Al-Mu'uminina |
26:216 | فَإِن عَصَوكَ فَقُل إِنِّي بَرِيء ٌ مِمَّا تَعمَلُونَ Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." Fa'in `Aşawka Faqul 'Inni Bari'un Mimma Ta`malūna |
26:217 | وَتَوَكَّل عَلَى العَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, Wa Tawakkal `Alá Al-`Azizi Ar-Raĥimi |
26:218 | الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). Al-Ladhi Yaraka Ĥina Taqūmu |
26:219 | وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). Wa Taqallubaka Fi As-Sajidina |
26:220 | إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ العَلِيمُ Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 'Innahu Huwa As-Sami`u Al-`Alimu |
26:221 | هَل أُنَبِّئُكُم عَلَى مَنتَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? Hal 'Unabbi'ukum `Alá Man Tanazzalu Ash-Shayaţinu |
26:222 | تَنَزَّلُ عَلَى كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيم ٍ They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. Tanazzalu `Alá Kulli 'Affakin 'Athimin |
26:223 | يُلقُونَ السَّمعَ وَأَكثَرُهُم كَاذِبُونَ Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. Yulqūna As-Sam`a Wa 'Aktharuhum Kadhibūna |
26:224 | وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الغَاوُونَ As for the poets, the erring follow them, Wa Ash-Shu`ara'u Yattabi`uhumu Al-Ghawūna |
26:225 | أَلَم تَرَى أَنَّهُم فِي كُلِّ وَاد ٍ يَهِيمُونَ See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 'Alam Tará 'Annahum Fi Kulli Wadin Yahimūna |
26:226 | وَأَنَّهُم يَقُولُونَ مَا لاَ يَفعَلُونَ And that they say what they do not do. Wa 'Annahum Yaqūlūna Ma La Yaf`alūna |
26:227 | إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرا ً وَانتَصَرُوا مِنبَعدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا وَسَيَعلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنقَلَب ٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 'Illa Al-Ladhina 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şaliĥati Wa Dhakarū Allaha Kathiraan Wa Antaşarū Min Ba`di Ma Žulimū Wa Saya`lamu Al-Ladhina Žalamū 'Ayya Munqalabin Yanqalibūna |
